Special Concerns for Women

What is Women's Health

Women have their own health issues due to a complex hormonal and reproductive system that makes us unique.

A variety of diseases such as heart attacks, depression and anxiety can affect women more severely than men.  Other conditions like endometriosis, PCOS and fertility issues require specialised consideration and care, especially when thinking about weight loss surgery.

Women are more likely to suffer from some diseases in silence, particularly heart disease and diabetes.  Others might only show up as vague symptoms and often mis-diagnosed, such as endometriosis.  Finally PCOS and fertility concerns require extra special care under the supervision of doctors that have a special interest in gynaecological disease, and aware of the impact these can have on life long health.

Our team is made up of doctors and allied health members with a special interest in women's health.  Between your referring General Practitioner and our specialist team, we can ensure your care is in the best hands.
