What is Men’s Health

Our doctors understand that men have unique needs in terms of health and the way health services are accessed.

Men are less likely to seek out health care for their needs - we routinely check for a wide range of metabolic diseases which are adversely affected by your weight.

Men’s Health and Weight

Men are more likely to gain weight around their waist - the "belly fat".  Most importantly, fat accumulating

in body organs can lead to higher risk of heart attacks and stroke risk.

Specific areas of concern for men living with obesity include:

  • Diabetes
  • Mental Health issues
  • Testosterone Deficiency
  • Erectile Dysfunction or Premature Ejaculation
  • High Blood Cholesterol
  • High Blood Pressure

Preventative Men's Health

Although men share many common health conditions throughout genders and ages, there are certain conditions that are related to men’s health and other diseases and conditions that are more prevalent in males.

To ensure good health is maintained, it is important that men are aware of the different impacts that can affect them and seek comprehensive preventative healthcare strategies at various stages of their lives.
